Appetizers
Around once every month or so, we have Appetizer Night, where we eat nothing but hor d’oeurves. Our most recent excuse was Superbowl (what a game! I’m not even a fan, but Go Steelers!) , where Uncle Darrell brought the girls over to play with Autumn and Lawson and we gorged ourselves on mini-baked potatoes, shrimp, honey roasted chicken drumsticks, and Mexican spinach dip.
Don’t wait for a party to break out the appetizers. The kids love them, surprisingly, and they can create a wonderful opportunity for connecting as a family. Host a family game night and serve up the fun foods instead of a full meal for a change–you’ll be glad you did.
