Creamy Tomato Soup
Great for lunch with a grilled cheese sandwich.
28-oz can of chunky crushed tomatoes (I use a basil-garlic blend)
1 can chicken broth
1/4 c. butter
1/8 tsp. baking soda
2 cups whipping cream
Combine all ingredients except whipping cream in a saucepan; cover and simmer for one hour. Add cream to mixture just before serving and cook on low until heated through.
