Walnut Chess Pie
This is a rich, yummy pie that apparently creates massive brain damage in the anticipation of eating it. In making it for Thanksgiving a couple of years ago, we were all tickled when I absent-mindedly forgot to make a pie crust, and poured the pie filling instead straight into the baking dish. Fortunately, an easily-rectified mistake.

1 cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp flour
2 eggs
2 tbsp milk
1 tbsp vanilla
½ cup melted butter
1 cup walnuts
1 deep dish pie shell
Mix together sugars and flour. Beat in eggs, milk, vanilla, and butter. Fold in walnuts and pour into the pie shell. Bake until set at 375 degrees (usually between 40 and 50 minutes). You may need to cover with foil midway through baking to prevent burning.
Delicious served with ice cream.
