March’s Best Days

March 3, 2009

Okay, I just posted March’s Best Days (on the “Best Days” tab, for those among us who are navigationally challenged. J) and there are a few items that I declare are just begging for commentary.

1—

Are there really bad days to dig a hole? I mean…it’s a hole. You’re removing dirt. The only problem I can foresee here is if you’re digging a really deep hole, and somehow all of the other days are cursed or something, and the walls of the hole were doomed to collapse in on you. That might be bad. Or maybe it’s a weather thing, and the other days are just going to be too dang cold for hole-digging.

Today happens to be a GREAT day to work on my marriage. (Yours, too, in case you were wondering.) Everyone’s! It’s a good day to Work on Your Marriage! This just struck me as funny, I suppose, because apparently the 4th, 5th, 10th through the 24th, 27th, 28th, and 31st are NOT good days to devote to your marriage. Should we all go in our separate directions on these days? Sleep in separate twin beds, perhaps? I don’t have any good suppositions for why this is the case, except perhaps women all over the world share the same cycle or something. And those are definitely NOT good days to be working on your marriage. J

Oddly enough, the 3rd is also a great day for painting, and I have had this feeling all day long that I need to paint my bathroom. Quite desperately, in fact. Now, this could have something to do with the fact that I have been putting the chore off for a loooong time…like a month or two, but it could be this Best Days thing calling to me. So maybe I’ll pick up the paint brush and get busy this evening.

And lastly, does anyone really start a diet with the intent to gain weight anymore? Just curious. ‘Cause I’d like to meet her. And maybe be ugly. J
