Sweet Potato Casserole

3 cups cooked, mashed sweet potatoes (easiest to cook whole, then remove skins while warm)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla
1/2 cup softened butter
1/3 cup milk

Topping:
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup light brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup softened butter

Mash sweet potatoes well; add remaining ingredients, above and mix with with hand-held blender. Pour into 2 qt. casserole. Mix together topping ingredients and spread over top. Bake at 350 degrees for around 30 minutes.
