Weekend Gallery

I’ve been looking over my Adobe CS4 and I’m noticing a lot of pictures that are just sort of sitting there. It’s annoying. And shameful.

So I’m going to start a new little something something.

I’m going to start posting some photos each week, as a means of A) encouraging myself to do something with my backlog and B) encouraging myself to get out and shoot. I’ve enrolled in a photography course–the New York Institute of Photography’s “Professional” course–in an effort to increase my technical and aesthetic abilities and just improve in general. I want to be better, plain and simple.

So here’s to that.

Holy cow! You are an inspiration! Life is busy… there’s a ton to do! I have the same issue (magnified 100X – I’ll spare you the pathetic details!). I want to be better to. HELP!

BTY – YOUR SITE AMAZES ME! I love it! And there are things I want to do to mine now that I didn’t even know were possibilities. I’m excited to learn more! Thanks again for the inspiration! šŸ™‚

Corine, I am finding inspiration daily in the blogs around me–life is busy, but I’m finding if I just ignore the laundry and dishes for a little while (and the tv and that book I want to read…) it’s getting done, a little at a time. And I haven’t recd my course materials yet from the photography course, but when I get rolling on it, I’ll be sure to publish tutorials as I go along. Another HUGE source of knowledge and inspiration is, of course, Pioneer Woman’s photography section. I’m learning a lot about layers from her. Do you use a program like Photoshop Elements or anything like that that will let you use layers to edit your photos? That’s one of the first steps…it’s not too expensive, and not too crazy difficult to learn…get cracking!
